With so many things to explore at Fisherman’s Wharf and around San Francisco, our hotel team wanted to share with you some of our favorite sites and sounds in our neighborhood and around the city.

Ramon Marquez, Bell Person – 19 years at the Sheraton Fisherman’s Wharf

Favorite spot in San Francisco:
"I like to hang out in the West Portal area near the St. Francis Woods. This area has great breakfast and dinner spots that are off the beaten path."

A perfect day in San Francisco to connect with friends & family:
"If they’ve never been here before, I would actually bring them to Fisherman’s Wharf. It’s a great way to see the top attractions in the city, and there are so many options for seafood. You can’t beat it!"

Scott Allendar, Bell Person – 4 years at the Sheraton Fisherman’s Wharf

Favorite spot in San Francisco:
"Marin Headlands is a great place to get away from it all, but still be so close to downtown San Francisco. It has great views of the iconic Golden Gate Bridge, a true architectural beauty."

A perfect day in San Francisco to connect with friends & family:
"I like to take friends to 24th Street to experience local cuisine, then we’d head to Ocean Beach and finish the day with a trip to Twin Peaks at sunset."

Stephanie Sneed, Bell Person – 28 years at Sheraton Fisherman’s Wharf

Favorite spot in San Francisco:
"One of my favorite neighborhoods is the Fillmore because it has great Jazz Clubs. The people are friendly and the food is wonderful. My other favorites, while their not really “hidden,” are Haight Ashbury because of its history, and the Castro District because it’s a place I feel at home."

Sarah Ashton, Concierge – 2 months at Sheraton Fisherman’s Wharf

Favorite spot in San Francisco:
"Marina Green Park is a great place to kick back and watch the area and people around you. On a clear day, you get great views of the Bay, Golden Gate Bridge, and over to Sausalito and Tiburon. Chestnut Street is another great place that has lots of boutique shops and unique restaurants. It is not as crowded or expensive as the shops at Union Square, but equally fun!"

A perfect day in San Francisco to connect with friends & family:
"I think that walking the city neighborhoods and using public transportation is the best way to see the city and feel like a local. You can do a City Walk Tour, which is free if you want to learn the history of some of the neighborhoods. This way you can take as much time as you’d like and stop in a little café along the way for lunch."

Edita, Guest Service Associate – 13 years at the Sheraton Fisherman’s Wharf

Favorite spot in San Francisco:
"Point Bonita at the Marin Headlands is a great place to feel free. With the wind, water and views, and yet you’re still so near the city.  Walk through the tunnel to have a picnic with a million dollar view! Walk over the hanging bridge with the Pacific Ocean beneath you. It is so thrilling!"

A perfect day in San Francisco to connect with friends & family:
"I always encourage my friends and family to take the free walking tour in San Francisco operated by the public library given by volunteers.  These people have passion and wealth of knowledge for the history of San Francisco.  The last tour I took was the “Bawdy and the Naughty” focusing on the gold rush era when the “professional” women arrived in San Francisco and became part of the cities legend and lore."

Teresita Vergara, PBX Operator – 24 years at the Sheraton Fisherman’s Wharf

Favorite spot in San Francisco:
"At Green and Taylor Streets, there is a small park with one bench that has an amazing view of the Bay, Alcatraz, the Golden Gate Bridge and the Bay Bridge. It is truly a place for solitude and relaxation."

A perfect day in San Francisco to connect with friends & family:
"I would first drive them down Lombard Street, and then head to Mama’s on Stockton for the best breakfast in the city. Then we would head to the steps toward Coit Tower. A trip to San Francisco for the first time is not complete without an Alcatraz Tour, so we would do that while it’s still early. Then we would be off to Golden Gate Park to see the architecture of the Palace of Fine Arts and go to Vista Point for great photo ops of the Golden Gate Bridge. We’d then cross the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito for lunch and shopping. After that, we’d head back to the city to the North Beach neighborhood and grab an Italian pastry and a cappuccino for a little pick me up. Then we’d go for a stroll around Fisherman’s Wharf and Ghirardelli Square and end the evening with dinner at Yuet Lee, at the corner of Broadway and Stockton streets. And this is only the 1st day…"
