4th of July Fireworks Fisherman's Wharf is San Francisco's premier spot to celebrate America's Independence Day holiday. Visitors will enjoy free, fabulous entertainment throughout the Wharf, culminating in a spectacular fireworks display over San Francisco Bay. All of the major venues throughout the wharf have special events and attractions planned for the entire family and Sheraton Fisherman's Wharf will feature it's annual barbeque outside by the firepits. The festival begins at noon culminating with fireworks at 9:30 p.m.

Extreme Mammals - Through September, 2010 Visit the new California Academy of Sciences this month for this showcase of some of the most intriguing mammals, from the speedy to the sloth-like, the towering to the tiny, even the venomous and the armor-clad. Featuring spectacular fossils and reconstructions alongside recent specimens and live animals, the exhibit explores the surprising world of extinct and living mammals.

The Fisher Collection Arrives at SFMOMA An unprecedented partnership is underway to house and display the collection of Gap founders Doris and Donald Fisher, more than 1,100 works by iconic 20th century artists in a new museum expansion. This exhibit provides a glimpse into that unique collection. The entire top two floors of the museum feature more than 160 works by Calder, Close, Kiefer, Lichtenstein, Martin, Richter, Twombly, Warhol, and many more.

Yerba Buena Gardens Festival - Through October 31, 2010 This popular weekend festival will be celebrating its 10th year with 100 free events including music, theater, circus, dance, poetry, family festivals and children's programs with artists from Cuba, Bali, Japan, Mexico, the Philippines, Italy, Sweden, and other lands. Birth of Impressionism from the Musée d'Orsay The de Young Museum a series of masterpieces from the Musée d'Orsay in Paris running thru September 6, 2010. Historic Waterfront Walking Tours - Every Sat/Sun this Summer Over the last 160 years, uses changed the environment of San Francisco's northern waterfront.
